A Promotional Video And Twitter Posts Give Us A Glimpse Into The Already Insane World Of Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be more mature, but still entertaining.

Incredible as it may seem, the most successful film in DC history (not counting inflation, of course) was not delivered by Superman or Batman, but by Aquaman, who made around $1.15 billion worldwide with his first standalone film. It’s true that even before the huge success there was no question that the character’s adventures would be continued, but after that it was really a no-brainer. The best part is that almost all the major characters from the first part will be returning. Yes, even Lord of the Ocean and Black Manta.

Unfortunately, DC FanDome hasn’t given us any classic behind-the-scenes footage for this film yet, but we did get a peek behind the scenes and a look at how certain scenes were shot in a three-minute or so promotional video. What’s more, they also showed us some fantastic sketches that took our breath away.

Returning to the director’s chair is James Wan, who helmed the first instalment, and in this fresh video he promises that Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be more mature than its predecessor, but just as entertaining. They also pointed out that they are in a lucky position, because the world of Aquaman is extremely rich, so there are a lot of worlds that will be visited in the story, and the movie is going to be really cool. Here are some behind the scenes shots:

As usual in these videos, everyone is highlighting how much fun it is to shoot, and everyone is sure that we’re going to get even more for our money than the first one. And we can only hope they’re telling the truth. You can check out the promotional video below, English speakers preferred, but it’s also worth watching just for the footage of the scenes being shot and the beautiful creative sketches.
