Console players will have to wait until next spring to immerse themselves in the fantasy world of Spellforce 3: Reforced.
In case you missed it amidst the Gamescom news rush, the SpellForce 3 fantasy strategy adventure game announced coming to consoles via the Reforced release. Supposedly, the PC exclusivity will end at the end of 2021, but it looks like Xbox and PS players will have to wait a few more weeks to get their hands on this great RPG/RTS hybrid.
As reported in a press release from developer Grimlore Games, SpellForce 3: Reforced will be released on consoles on March 8, 2022, but PC players will be able to experience it from December 6 as part of a free update to the base game. The studio is very serious about bringing the colourful fantasy world to Xbox and PlayStation. Still, they will need more time to polish the various features that will expand the base version of SpellForce 3.
The Reforced edition includes additional improvements compared to the original adventure and adds a wide range of possibilities to the user experience. This is reflected in the improved missions, skill trees, loot distribution and RTS mechanics, and the new maps and varied game modes.
SpellForce 3: Reforced has caught the attention of all fantasy and real-time strategy fans, and although its arrival on consoles is unfortunately delayed, it seems that the developers and publisher THQ Nordic are doing their best to bring the PC mechanics to Xbox and PlayStation controllers. It’s also worth noting that SpellForce 3: Reforced will be joined by the Soul Harvest and Fallen God expansions on March 8, so it’s undoubtedly worth the wait.
