Codemasters’ new GRID game brings the unpredictability of the roads and a wide variety of tracks to the screen.
There’s no doubt that Codemasters has a flair for racing games, but with GRID Legends, they’re aiming to go beyond what they’ve done before. The title, which is sure to make racing fans fall in love, raises expectations with a new gameplay demonstration in the run-up to its official launch, allowing viewers to experience what it will be like to get behind the wheel.
GRID Legends is set to bring the unpredictability of the road to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series from 25 February 2022.
Because the essence of this game lies in the moments that break up the monotony of driving, in this spirit, the developers are preparing a dozen ways to surprise us, such as a car that can overtake over our heads or the risk of driving with minimum visibility.
Codemasters will make these situations nerve-wracking thanks to the different personalities of the AI, which can be ambitious or even aggressive towards the player. And to make the experience even better, over 130 different tracks will allow you to drive a wide variety of vehicles so that you can try out combinations such as a prototype race on the Red Bull Ring.
With GRID Legends, the developers are looking to explore new aspects of motorsport, with a wealth of experience behind them with titles such as F1 2021 and various instalments of the DIRT franchise. In addition, referring to the recent saga, their offerings have always managed to dazzle motoring enthusiasts, with Dirt Rally 2.0 managing to exceed 9 million players, a not inconsiderable number.
