Sumo Nottingham presents a new multiplayer horror game based on the cult classic, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
The 1974 horror classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has long terrified us – and now Sumo Nottingham, the studio responsible for Hotshot Racing, the car racing program with intriguing low poly graphics and arcade gameplay, wants to bring that visceral fear to the world of video games.
For their new game, the change of direction couldn’t be more radical: they’ve chosen an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game about which we have very little information at the moment, although a stunning cinematic trailer has already introduced us to the film’s most iconic character, Leatherface, the fearsome killer and his inseparable chainsaw.
An asymmetrical multiplayer horror parade
The killer of the Texas Chain Saw Massacre has already made his way into video games in Dead by Daylight, another multiplayer horror game. The launch follows the return of the iconic franchise to the big screen – with the new movie premiering on 18 February.
