Supermassive is looking for people to join a new project, which has not yet been announced.
When we talk about Supermassive Games, we’re talking about the makers of Until Dawn. The game, if you remember, was a great success with its PS4 release in 2015, which prompted the studio to follow a similar path with its latest creation, The Dark Pictures Anthology. However, it seems that this isn’t the only thing in the works in their witch’s kitchen.
As we learned from their website, Supermassive is recruiting for an unannounced multiplayer project. Specifically, they are looking for developers with experience in multiplayer rules, combat and progression systems, and tutorial development.
All this suggests a new game, about which no information has been shared yet, and a slightly different approach from a team that has worked on other types of games in the past. However, they have also incorporated online elements in various ways.
“For this position, we need someone who likes to get their hands dirty with the engine and tools,” the offer reads.
In the absence of further details – such as whether they will stick to the genre – we can only go by the trailer for the final part of The Dark Pictures Anthology, The Devil In Me, which arrived in October, and it’s pretty atmospheric. So we remain optimistic for their following projects…
