Control, Remedy Entertainment’s popular third-person action game, is the star of the Epic Games Store’s daily offer.

True, Control may not be Remedy’s best-known game, but it received rave reviews (including from us) when it was released in 2019, and it’s a nice gesture from the developers and the Epic Games Store to make it available for free download – even if it’s just for a few hours.

The veteran developers at Remedy, who also made Max Payne and Alan Wake, have gone all out to make Control a little different from their previous games. It’s a daring creation with a scenario design that encourages exploration, impeccable visual design and an immersive atmosphere. You can download the game until 17:00 today, when Epic Games unveils its next free game. The store has already revealed the mystery game, and it looks like it could be Mages of Mystralia.

Let’s add that Epic’s offer is for the base version of Control, but they’re also offering discounts on the various editions. The Ultimate Edition, which includes all released expansions, is available for purchase at a 50% discount and will be available until January 6, 2022. Until the same date, you can also find the DLCs in the store at a 60% discount. In addition to offering more than 1,300 titles, the Epic Games Store has also added a discount voucher program for games.
