There are few clues as to what Naughty Dog’s next move will be, although there have been rumours of a remake of The Last of Us.
So far, there’s not much indication as to when the creators of The Last of Us and Uncharted will unveil their next adventure, but studio bosses have confirmed in a recent statement that they have several projects in the works.
As reported by MP1st, the Santa Monica team’s writer and creative director Neil Druckmann said at CES 2022 that he’s looking forward to sharing a number of his ongoing video game projects.
The developer declined to reveal more, though Bloomberg reported that a supposed remake of The Last of Us was in the works earlier this year. It’s a legacy production, as the magazine says that PlayStation Studios originally intended for another development team to take over production. However, the Japanese company recently claimed that 25 PS5 developments are in the pipeline from various internal teams.
Compilations, series and movies
In a few weeks, on January 28, the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be released for PS5, which will include a compilation of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, with several improvements to take advantage of the hardware benefits of Sony’s new console. The bundle will reportedly hit PC stores at a later date.
Finally, Uncharted: The Movie arrives in domestic cinemas on February 10, with a new trailer for the film has emerged yesterday showing Tom Holland soaring high, while The Last of Us HBO Max series is also slated for a later date.
