Lust From Beyond Now Censors Horror & Erotica: Try The Demo Now On Steam Or GOG! [VIDEO]

The changes have been made in order to give Lust From Beyond the Mature classification within the ESRB and to reach more players.

After its Kickstarter success, the horror game Lust From Beyond became popular due to its explicit content, but the ESRB gave it an “Adults Only” rating, making it one of the few projects to achieve this ranking in the video game rating system. However, this in itself has meant that it has not been the most accessible title for gamers, something that the M Edition for PC is trying to remedy.

The re-release aims to appeal to more players

As the name suggests, Lust From Beyond: M Edition is a re-release of the horror title, with heavily censored content to lower the rating to M (Mature) and try to appeal to more gamers. The game will be available for PC on February 10 and will cost $17.99/€14.99, with a 10% discount on release.

What changes in this version? Some models have been modified to reduce the amount of nudity in the game but without losing the theme and atmosphere of each scene. Several scenes have also been changed to reduce the amount of explicit content, and some animations have been changed to move out of the “Adults Only” rating.

Although the game is the same, these changes may be radical for those who have already tried it, so a demo has been released on Steam and GOG for you to try out. If you’re playing on console, there’s no word yet on a version for any other platform, so – for now at least – it’s the PC version that remains.

Lust From Beyond is a first-person survival horror with elements borrowed from the universe of author H.P. Lovecraft. With a combination of exploration, combat, stealth and plenty of puzzles, the title seeks to haunt you with a dark and provocative narrative as you control Victor Holloway, who joins a mysterious cult in search of answers…
