(Xbox) Game Pass: Microsoft (who announced yesterday that they are in the process of acquiring Activision Blizzard…) announced how the Game Pass service will expand in January’s second half.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition (console [Xbox One, Xbox Series], PC [PC Game Pass is the name of the service here, hence the brackets around Xbox in the title!], cloud) and Nobody Saves the World (console, PC, cloud, ID@Xbox, i.e. indie game; part of the service from launch day) are now available. On January 20, Death’s Door (console, PC, cloud, ID@Xbox), Hitman Trilogy (console, PC, cloud, ID@Xbox; it covers the entire reboot trilogy), Pupperazzi (console, PC, cloud, ID@Xbox; which will also be launching right into Game Pass), Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction (console, PC, cloud, Game Pass-launch) and Windjammers 2 (console, PC, cloud, ID@Xbox, Game Pass-launch) will join. On January 27, Taiko No Tatsujin: The Drum Master (console, PC, Game Pass-launch) hops onto the service.
Microsoft also reminds us of Spelunky 2 (cloud, ID@Xbox) and The Anacrusis (cloud, ID@Xbox; still in development and therefore in Game PreviewÖ. Only one DLC was mentioned: you can now pre-install FAR: Changing Tides, which will launch into Game Pass on console and PC on March 1. The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perks include the Halo Infinite: Pass Tense Warthog Bundle (Warthog paint, four 2XP boosts, four Challenge Swaps), Doom Eternal gets three cosmetic packs, and World of Tanks has the Premium Trifecta Bundle.
Nine new games have been added to the Xbox touchscreen playbook (Anvil (Game Preview), Archvale, Death’s Door, Exo One, The Forgotten City, Nobody Saves the World, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, Stardew Valley, Unpacking). Finally, we should mention the games leaving on January 31: Cyber Shadow (console, PC, cloud), Nowhere Prophet (console, PC, cloud), Prison Architect (PC), and Xeno Crisis (console, PC, cloud).
In time, titles from the Activision Blizzard conglomerate will join the fold, something Microsoft has already openly discussed.
