Cuphead And Mugman Are Jumping On The Screen: The Cuphead Show Is Coming Soon! [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – Studio MDHR’s Cuphead game has become such a hit that we’ll be glued to Netflix in a month, as the show is about to premiere.

The Cuphead Show! (yes, with an exclamation mark) is based on the game, and the official description says Cuphead is a “loveable, impulsive scamp” while his brother Mugman is a “cautious but easily swayed” character in a show that brings the 1930s style quite nicely to life…

This retro animation style made the game itself so famous (the run & gun gameplay was a big part of its success), so it’s no wonder it won awards. Here is Netflix’s full description: “Based on the award-winning video game that smashed onto the scene with a gorgeous retro animation style, The Cuphead Show! is a character-driven comedy series following the marvellous misadventures of loveable, impulsive scamp Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman. As the two scour their surreal homeworld of the Inkwell Isles in search of fun and adventure, they always have each other’s back. Unless there’s only one cookie left, in which case it’s every cup for himself. The Cuphead Show! combines nostalgic delights, side-splitting gags, and a healthy dose of the heebie-jeebies—especially when a ridiculously weird nemesis, The Devil himself, arrives on the scene to toy with our heroes.

For King Features, C.J. Kettler will serve as the executive producer and Cuphead creators Chad and Jared Moldenhauer will serve as executive producers for Studio MDHR. The series will be produced by Netflix Animation and is executive produced by Emmy and Annie Award-winning producer Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts) and co-executive produced by Cosmo Segurson (Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling),” Netflix wrote.  So the developers have also been following the creation of the show. And… you can see it in the trailer.

Netflix has also launched an interactive website. The Cuphead Countdown counts down to the show’s start, which is not a stupid idea from the service. To finish, we’ll tell you when to look out for The Cuphead Show on Netflix: we won’t have to wait another month, because the two cups of humour (which could be more; or less?) will be available from February 18.
