The forward ranks of these elite soldiers will make their way against the forces of Chaos in this promising PC Warhammer TRPG.

The 2021 Warhammer Skulls Showcase introduced us to Games Workshop’s next tactical action RPG from the veteran universe, Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters. The title sees the Grey Knights, the Inquisition’s demon-hunting lordly order, take on the forces of Chaos, and Frontier Foundry and Complex Games have shared the first information on the four so-called advanced classes of the mighty knights:

• Paladin: The elite Grey Knight warrior dons super-heavy Terminator armour, boasting unrivalled melee attack power.
• Chaplain: The Chaplain serves to support his allies by sanctifying and purifying the evil of Nurgle through his prayers and litanies.
• Librarian: This librarian is no scribbler – he blasts his opponents with his powerful psi attacks.
• Purifier: He keeps all enemies at bay by incinerating them at close range, purging these unfortunate creatures of mutations and disease.

Each class will have 36 abilities to unlock

Each class will have unique upgrades, including 36 unlockable active and passive abilities. These will be available for a limited number of points, which will determine your specialisation throughout the campaign. In Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters, our Grey Knights will fight the disease “Bloom”, spread by the Nurgle across the worlds of the Tyrtaeus sector.

Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters will be released for PC in 2022, but before that, we’ll also get a taste of Total War: Warhammer III, which arrives in just over a week.
