Amie Loake joins Playground Games after working on Fable Anniversary and the never-finished Legends.
Xbox Game Studios has several video games in the pipeline: each one more interesting than the last, but perhaps the return of the Fable series, now in the hands of Playground Games, will evoke a little more excitement, or at least nostalgia, from the platform’s oldest fans. Today we learn that the newest member of the team is a veteran of the franchise.
It’s Amie Loake, who, after spending the last five years at Sumo Digital, announced over the weekend on social media that she’s returning to the series as a senior producer.
Loake has credits in various roles on Fable Legends and Fable Anniversary, so her hiring will give Playground Games a little more insight into the creators of Lionhead Studios’ iconic titles.
In addition to Sumo Digital and Lionhead Studios, Loake has also spent time at Goodgame Studios and TT Games, among others, according to his LinkedIn bio. We learned a few weeks ago that the lead artist on Sea of Thieves had been signed on, so fans can be assured that the visuals for the new game, which Playground Games says has been four years in the making, will be meticulously crafted.
For now, not much is known about the adventure of the team responsible for Forza Horizon 5, beyond the vows that it will be a lighter RPG than the others they’ve been working on at Microsoft.
