PlayStation gamers in the US now have a copy of Gran Turismo 7 for PS4 or PS5 due to an Amazon glitch.
This Friday, PlayStation owners will get another big exclusive release. Gran Turismo 7 is the returning, numbered instalment in the car saga. Polyphony Digital’s goal with the game’s latest iteration was clear: to offer an experience that’s updated for today’s era but retains all the essence of the classics.
How that was achieved remains to be seen, but the truth is that some players already have the title in their hands. The VGC media reported an Amazon glitch that has caused several users to already have Gran Turismo 7 after receiving a product box at home in advance.

From the messages collected on Twitter, Reddit and forums, it seems that there is no end of lucky people who are receiving their shipment up to a week before the official release. Of course: the game requires an internet connection, which means that players will not be able to access most features because the service is not yet active. The minor “glitch” has caused a large amount of information to be posted online, but as a driving game, it does not cause as much tragedy as a story-driven action-adventure title would.
Gran Turismo 7 will be released this Friday, March 4, on PS4 and PS5, although the previous generation will require two discs to install and run the game, while the new one will only need one. With the recent creation directed by Kazunori Yamauchi, the makers wanted to create a truly “definitive” experience for fans of the saga, which we’ll be covering in a few days, as we’ve had the press review code for Sony’s game for a while now.
