The Story Of A Plague Tale: Innocence Gets A TV Adaptation: Here Are The First Details

MOVIE NEWS – The Plague Tale production will follow Amicia and Hugo as they struggle to survive the Black Death and the Inquisition.

In 2019, Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive captivated gamers with a story of drama, death and destruction in A Plague Tale: Innocence. The program invited us to follow the adventures of a pair of sisters, Amicia and Hugo, as they struggle to survive the Black Death rats and the Inquisition soldiers, not to mention the other perils and deprivations of medieval France.

But the story has potential beyond the video game sphere, and a TV series is already confirmed.

The series will be directed by Mathieu Turi, who has worked as an assistant director on films such as Inglourious Basterds, Lucy and 3 Days to Kill, and will be produced by Merlin Productions co-produced by Focus Entertainment.

No details on the story have been released yet, but Mathieu Turi confirmed the news on Twitter, stating that he “can’t wait to bring Amicia and Hugo’s journey to the screen”, so we can expect an adaptation of the plot of A Plague Tale: Innocence. So, once again, we meet Amicia and her determination to survive the threats of her time while searching for a cure for her little brother’s strange illness.

If all that wasn’t enough to cheer you up, it looks like the siblings will continue their journey in A Plague Tale: Requiem, coming to next-gen and PC.
