Not Anyone Rocks In The Latest Trailer For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2! [VIDEO]

In a short promotional video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, comedian Pete Davidson parodies the latest teaser trailer.

The hype is building for the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the latest in the annual Call of Duty franchise. Last week in a teaser trailer, Activision confirmed its plans to fully unveil Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on June 8. But it looks like that was just the start of Activision’s advertising campaign: they’ve also recently shared a new live-action video featuring comedian Pete Davidson spoofing the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 teaser.

In the video, Pete Davidson sits in the same transport vehicle used in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 teaser reveal.

Surrounding him are members of Task Force 141, the most popular characters from previous Modern Warfare games. These include Ghost, Captain Price, Gaz, Soap and newcomer Alejandro Vargas. Captain Price says that Davidson is there because he vouched for him, but it soon becomes clear that the comedian doesn’t really know what he’s signed up for.

It immediately becomes clear that Davidson is out of place. He’s wearing what looks like a bicycle helmet decorated with flowers and a tank top with a tie. While the others in the vehicle are well-armed and practising safe weapons handling, Davidson is carrying a rocket launcher and clearly doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do with it. He jokes with the other members of Task Force 141 that he is bringing snacks but refuses to share. Ghost is heartbroken about the snacks.

The 40-second video is an entertaining advertisement to build excitement for the June 8 unveiling of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, similar to the previous Call of Duty live-action videos featuring celebrities. In the original teaser trailer, Task Force 141 is shown preparing for battle and then being extracted from the vehicle, weapon in hand.

It’s funny to think that Pete Davidson might still be in the transport vehicle, left behind.

In the end, there is nothing new to be discovered in the Pete Davidson video. Call of Duty fans hoping for more information about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will have to wait until June 8 for official information.
