If True, Persona 5 Royal Could Be Coming To Another Console!

Persona fans have uncovered evidence suggesting Persona 5 Royal could be coming to Nintendo Switch alongside other consoles.

After recent major Persona announcements, it seems that Persona 5 Royal will soon be available for players of all modern console families. It was previously revealed that versions of Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5 would be coming to current platforms, including PC, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Only the Nintendo Switch hasn’t been confirmed to receive Persona ports, but if all is true, that could change soon.

The latest indication that Persona is coming to Switch sooner rather than later comes from a recently revealed retail listing.

Indeed, German retailer WOG.ch has created a profile in its online database for Persona 5 Royal Nintendo Switch, leading some fans to believe that the RPG is coming to the platform but simply hasn’t been announced yet.

The other two Persona games scheduled to be ported to new platforms were not listed on the retailer’s website: these two titles are, of course, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden. Not surprisingly, as these two games have no release date yet, we only know that they will arrive after the release of Persona 5 Royal later this year.

However, the fact is that retail listings of games are not the most reliable source.

Those who add listings to retailer databases can make mistakes by mistake, based on inaccurate data, or simply by accident. This particular rumour is noteworthy because it’s not the only evidence that Persona 5 Royale is coming to Nintendo Switch. A reputable leaker has also previously claimed that these Persona games are coming to Switch.

If Persona 5 Royale is indeed coming to Nintendo Switch, then some may question why the game hasn’t been confirmed along with the PC and Xbox port announcements.

The answer may be that Nintendo is saving the announcement for one of its own shows.

Nintendo skipped out on holding a showcase in early June, but rumours suggest there will instead be a Nintendo Direct at the end of the month.

For now, it’s unknown whether or not the fifth instalment and the other Persona games will be released for Nintendo Switch. Although if there’s no announcement before the end of June, Persona fans may want to consider playing the games on another platform.

Persona 5 Royale will be released on 21 October for PC, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
