The Last Of Us Part 1 Gameplay Videos and Comparison Images Leaked Online, Claiming Gameplay “Hasn’t Changed” [VIDEO]

The 2013 remake of The Last of Us for PS5 has Naughty Dog battling leakers once again, as six minutes of gameplay footage has surfaced online.

The Last of Us Part 1 is a remake of the original The Last of Us for PS5. The Last of Us Part 1 returns to the beginning of Joel and Ellie’s story of survival in a post-apocalyptic USA, and has already got many fans excited. The remake is not far off either, with a release date set for September, and developer Naughty Dog has announced that The Last of Us Part 1 has been certified gold, meaning the studio believes the game is eligible for release.

However, as The Last of Us Part 1 is quite close to release, some gameplay footage of the upcoming title has been discovered by some and posted online. The latest leak, which comes from XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker, reveals six new minutes of gameplay footage from The Last of Us Part 1, showing some combat and weapon-making details. The footage is split into three clips, the first showing a shootout that starts in a shabby shop, but eventually Joel and Ellie take the fight to the streets, using abandoned cars as cover.

The second clip shows off the crafting mechanics that players of The Last of Us will probably already be familiar with. At the workbench, Joel can be seen adding a scope to a shotgun and increasing its reload speed. Finally, the third clip shows more combat as Joel and Ellie shoot their way out of an old library. In addition to showing off the clips, the leaker also showed off some new screenshots of the game, which show the graphical improvements The Last of Us Part 1 has made over its predecessor.

Baker also showed off the control mapping and accessibility via some additional The Last of Us Part 1 screenshots. These included some evidence of the two graphical modes of the upcoming title, which are the Fidelity mods and Performance mode. Fidelity will render at 4K resolution and give players a maximum of 40FPS, while Performance mode will have “dynamic resolution” but will run at 60FPS. However, users are not locked into 60FPS, as they can unlock the framerate on VRR-enabled monitors.

While it’s interesting for fans to see some of the game’s features before the game’s release, these The Last of Us Part 1 leaks aren’t the first for the franchise. A Naughty Dog nagyot küzdött, amikor a The Last of Us Part 2 története kiszivárgott, ami miatt sok rajongó elrontotta magának a játékot, és követelte, hogy a fejlesztők hamarabb adják ki a címet. Szerencsére ezúttal legalább kisebb a kockázata annak, hogy a rajongók elrontják a The Last of Us 1. részének történetét.

Another user has posted pictures on ResetEra, mirrored on Imgur, showing Joel’s brother Tommy, Tess and a short clip from the opening scene of the game.

The person who leaked the images also claimed that there are “no gameplay improvements” in the game, with updates mainly affecting animation and sound.

It was widely speculated that The Last Of Us Part 1 would carry over the improved movement and shooting mechanics of The Last Of Us Part 2, if this leaker is to be believed, nothing came of that.
