Jordan Peele Talks About Nope 2 – Could A Mysterious Character Return?!

MOVIE NEWS – Jordan Peele says he has more stories to tell in his Nope universe.

It seems that, if Jordan Peele has his way, there’s a pretty good chance that Nope 2 could be made. The film, which opened in cinemas in July, is the director’s third feature film and has been a pretty big hit at the box office, grossing over $149 million. The reviews for Nope have been mostly positive, including ours, and the film received several nominations at the Saturn Awards in October.

Will this success lead Universal Pictures and Peele to team up again for a sequel? Although nothing is officially planned yet, Peele seems keen to continue the story told in Nope.

In a new interview with The New York Times, Peele was asked about a “mysterious” character that has people abounding with all sorts of fan theories.

Jordan Peele hinted that more stories should be told about this character in Nope’s world.

“The story of that character has yet to be told, I can tell you that. Which is another frustrating way of saying, I’m glad people are paying attention. I do think they will get more answers on some of these things in the future. We’re not over telling all of these stories.”

The mystery character in question is a man we saw in the trailer for Nope, whose scene was not included in the theatrical version. In the trailer, the man played by Michael Busch casually walks forward while terrified citizens run in the opposite direction. It is listed as “Nobody” in the IMDb credits, and precisely what Jordan Peele intended with the character has not yet been revealed.
