Square Enix’s Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion project is a complete remaster of the game initially released for PSP.
It looks like Square Enix is looking to complete the story of Cloud and co. with Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, a remaster of the original PSP game, although it’s not the only different project related to the seventh instalment of the franchise. Now, with the release date announced, the developers have also treated us to a punchy trailer.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will be available from 13 December.
Square Enix has announced that Zack Fair’s adventure will be relived on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch on 13 December. That leaves only a few months to see what Square Enix has changed in the game, which promises to be faithful to the original experience.
Suppose you’re interested in Final Fantasy VII’s adventure and not familiar with Crisis Core. In that case, you should know that it’s a prequel to Cloud and company’s tale and is meant to expand and complete the story of the numbered instalment.
We follow Private Zack Fair on a mission to find another member of the paramilitary armed wing SOLDIER: Genesis Rhapsodos.
Tetsuya Nomura, the game’s creative producer, described this project as more than a remaster but less than a remake. Either way, its events are essential to understanding one of the most famous chapters in the Square Enix franchise, so we encourage you to give Crisis Core a try if you’re interested in the story of Final Fantasy VII.
