Microsoft is adding five games to the Xbox Game Pass line-up while confirming four more titles to come in the future.
Xbox Game Pass has been updated with five new games, while four more are confirmed for future release. Microsoft had an impressive showing at the Tokyo Game Show 2022, making some big announcements, especially regarding its Xbox subscription service.
In addition to the new Xbox Game Pass games originally announced for September 15, Microsoft made a surprise announcement of a few more as part of the Tokyo Game Show celebration. Starting today, subscribers can try Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Danganronpa V3 Anniversary Edition, FUGA: Melodies of Steel, Metal: Hellsinger and Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered. Despot’s Game was also originally scheduled to join the Game Pass offering today but was pushed back to September 20.
New Xbox Game Pass games available today:
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (Cloud/Console/PC)
- Danganronpa V3 Anniversary Edition (Cloud/Console/PC)
- FUGA: Melodies of Steel (Cloud/Console/PC)
- Metal: Hellsinger (Cloud/PC/Xbox Series X)
- Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered (Cloud/Console/PC)
The new games added on September 15 are playable on all modern Xbox consoles, Cloud and PC, with one exception. The rhythm-based (metal) music FPS Metal: Hellsinger is only playable on Xbox Series X, so Game Pass subscribers should keep this in mind.
New Xbox Game Pass games announced at Tokyo Game Show:
- Deathloop – September 20.
- Dyson Sphere program – October 13.
- Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle – Spring 2023
- Guilty Gear Strive – Spring 2023
The new games added today should keep subscribers busy. At the same time, Microsoft used its presence at the Tokyo Game Show to confirm even more games are coming to the subscription service later this year, with four games explicitly highlighted. Deathloop is coming to Xbox Game Pass on September 20 – yes, that Deathloop, the time-travelling assassin simulator that for a long time seemed to be exclusive to PlayStation!
Also coming on October 13 is the Dyson Sphere Program. And on the fighting games front, Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle and Guilty Gear Strive are both coming in Spring 2023.
