[ND] New Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer Arrives – Is This What Fans Were Expecting?! [VIDEO]

Nintendo’s new video for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom comes with English subtitles and already reveals some of the big secrets of the new adventure.

With only a few months to go until we can enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at home, we’ve got a sneak peek of the new game. But until today, until the latest Nintendo Direct, we’ve learned almost no details about the highly anticipated Switch-exclusive game. Big N has remedied that with a new trailer letting us in on some of the game’s big secrets.

In the English-language video, we see Hyrule destroyed by a new incarnation of Ganon. As a result, some areas of the fantasy world explode, seemingly floating on air. After hearing Zelda’s words that he is “too powerful”, the hero of the time plunges into the void… resulting in several action sequences that are hard not to get excited about.

We’ll also be free to explore the lands of Hyrule, as well as the skies.

This trailer for the sequel to the brilliant Zelda: Breath of the Wild shows you how to fight larger enemies. It also shows parts of Hyrule that are reminiscent of the old Zelda dungeons. Also, vast meadows that feed the desire to get lost for the simple joy of exploration.

“In the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, an adventure of epic proportions will transport players to the lands and vast skies above Hyrule,” reads Nintendo’s official announcement. Players will once again be free to go wherever they want as they use Link’s new abilities to tackle the many challenges of the new environment.

Vehicles – a new feature of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

In the previous trailer for Tears of the Kingdom, we’ve already seen a flying vehicle of sorts that Link can use to take to the skies of Hyrule. But in the new video, we’ve also seen other mechanical devices besides the trusty steeds. For example, a kind of car/tank or a hot air balloon.

Interestingly enough, the idea of bringing in vehicles was already mooted when engines were mentioned in Breath of the Wild. This finally came to fruition in the extra content of The Ballad of the Chosen, where the Hylian motorbike appeared.

Unsurprisingly, the new Zelda will also get its own collector’s edition, also unveiled at the recent Direct.

As well as the physical version of the game, those who get their hands on this special edition will also receive an art book, a SteelBook, a metal IconartTM poster and a set of four badges. The pre-order campaign for the collector’s edition is currently closed. Nintendo has also announced a new Link Amiibo-figure. This gives access to in-game materials and weapons, as well as a unique skin for Link’s paraglider.
