Millie Bobby Brown Doesn’t Cry Over Stranger Things: She Explained Why!

MOVIE NEWS – Millie Bobby Brown, the Netflix hit series’ star revealed why she is happy that the fifth season will be the end of the Hawkins adventure.

 

Stranger Things fans are eagerly waiting to find out what happens to Eleven and her friends after the Upside Down. The sci-fi series’ fifth season will be the last one created by the Duffer brothers. Several of the actors have already expressed how they feel about saying goodbye, including Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven.

The 19-year-old star gave an interview to Seventeen magazine in which she said that she is ready to close this chapter of her life. “I’m definitely ready to wrap up. I feel like a lot of the story has been told now. It’s been in our lives for a very long time. But I’m very ready to say goodbye to this chapter of my life and open new ones up.” – she said.

Brown added that she is grateful for the series, which brought her breakthrough and fame, but she is excited for new challenges and projects. “I’m able to create stories myself that are important to me and focus on the bigger picture. But I’m really grateful [for the show]” – she said.

The young actress not only proved her talent in Stranger Things, but also appeared in other Netflix productions, such as the Enola Holmes movies or Godzilla: King of the Monsters. She filmed the first season of Stranger Things when she was 11 years old and spent almost nine years playing Eleven.

Another star of the series, David Harbour , who plays Eleven’s adoptive father Jim Hopper , shares Brown’s opinion. “When I started the show, I never ever wanted it to end. That’s why I love the show. I think it’s a great show, even if I wasn’t in it.” – he said earlier. “But now we’re almost nine years from filming the first season and I think it is time to end it.” – he added.

Harbour thinks that although there is a sadness in ending the series , he also feels that “we’ve all grown up” and it’s time for us to experiment with other things . “And let the Duffer brothers try different things as well. I mean, those guys are so talented. I want to see what they come up with next. So it is bittersweet, but it’s definitely time.” – Harbour concluded .

The fifth season of Stranger Things will not only be a farewell for the main characters, but also for the fans. Netflix’s successful sci-fi series started in 2016 and has enchanted millions with its 80s vibe and mysterious story ever since. The Duffer brothers promise that the final season will answer all questions and close the Hawkins adventure.
