The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Everything You Need to Know About the Breath of the Wild Sequel

The latest Zelda game for Nintendo Switch takes players on an adventure in a massive Hyrule and the islands floating above it.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released in 2017 and revolutionized the Zelda series. Players could freely explore the ruined Hyrule and choose their own path to defeat Ganon. At the end of the game, Link and Zelda decided to restore Hyrule’s glory – making it even more beautiful than it originally was.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild, but Nintendo has been very secretive about the story details. The company only revealed the game’s title in 2022, because it said it would give away too much. Since then, Nintendo has released several trailers for the game, from which we can extract some information about the gameplay and the story. As we approach the May release date, Nintendo is sharing more and more details, including a 10-minute gameplay demo. Here’s what we know so far.
