Alan Wake 2: This Is How the Nightmare Writer Returns in 2023

Remedy Entertainment announced that the long-awaited sequel: Alan Wake 2 will be a true survival horror, where Alan Wake will have to face the monsters of the darkness.

 

Alan Wake 2 is the new game from Remedy Entertainment, coming in 2023 as a sequel to the first game released in 2010. The announcement was made at the Game Awards 2021, where they also showed a short teaser of the game.

The trailer shows that Alan Wake 2 will be a true survival horror, where the writer will have to face again the monsters and nightmares created by the darkness. The game will not only take us back to Bright Falls town, but also to other locations, such as New York. The gameplay will feature a lot of use of light and shadow and the power of the writer’s imagination.

Remedy Entertainment’s creative director, Sam Lake, said that Alan Wake 2 was his dream project for more than a decade, and that this will be the studio’s first attempt at the survival horror genre. The game will be part of the Remedy Connected Universe, where other games are linked, such as Control and the AWE expansion.

Alan Wake 2 will be released in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version will be available on the Epic Games Store. The developers promised to update the fans regularly on the game’s progress.
