In a recent adult-themed Star Wars comic, Darth Vader reveals a horrifying new Force technique that is far too vicious for movie audiences.
Caution! This article contains spoilers for Star Wars: Darth Vader – Black, White, & Red #1!
At the height of his power, Darth Vader was the most fearsome force in the Star Wars universe, utilizing a variety of ruthless methods to vanquish his foes. Some of these techniques would be overly violent for film adaptations, including this newly introduced one.
In the Star Wars: Darth Vader – Black, White, & Red #1 tale titled “Hard Shutdown Part 1,” written by Jason Aaron, Leonard Kirk, and Romulo Fajardo Jr., Darth Vader seeks out an old acquaintance, Dr. Sendvall. Vader gets an anonymous tip about Sendvall’s location and proceeds to meet the source for additional details. However, Vader soon realizes that it’s all a setup. Sendvall has already perished, and the person who reached out to Vader is the doctor’s son. As the surprise attack unfolds, several stormtroopers accompanying Vader are wounded by hostile fire. Despite their injuries, they remain useful to Darth Vader.
Darth Vader Deploys a Wounded Stormtrooper as a Lethal Projectile
In a brutal display of power, Darth Vader uses the Force to lift one of the injured stormtroopers into the air and then hurls him as a human projectile towards the enemies. The terrified stormtrooper screams in panic until he meets a gruesome end.
Darth Vader’s merciless act of using stormtroopers as human missiles while they cry out in fear aligns with his level of evilness, but it is far too malicious for mainstream Star Wars movies. These films are meant to be enjoyed by people of all ages, which means the terrifying actions of Darth Vader must be implied rather than explicitly shown with such a blatant disregard for human life. Nonetheless, the scene is spectacular in every way. Darth Vader’s command of the Force is unmatched, and his use of it in battle through the most inventive and lethal means is almost commendable and certainly thrilling to witness.
While Star Wars fans may never see this specific Force technique on the silver screen, it is a must-see moment in this new comic book issue, targeting a more mature readership, as it is perhaps one of the most barbaric attacks Darth Vader has ever executed on the pages.
