The director of Oppenheimer revealed where to sit when watching his film

MOVIE NEWS – Let’s dig it in: this is how it is recommended to watch the super movie called Oppenheimer, which was dreamed up by its director, Christopher Nolan, in IMAX format.

“In the case of a widescreen film, I like to sit in the middle of the third row – Nolan revealed in an interview with the Associated Press. – IMAX 1.43:1 is a bit different, in that case I sit a few rows back and, of course, strictly in the middle. So everything is in the viewing room, while the view is monumental.”

According to Nolan, Oppenheimer is also worth watching this way. The film was shot on 70-millimeter celluloid in the age of digital filming, because according to the director, it achieves amazing sharpness, clarity and depth.

“IMAX 70mm allows the boundaries of the screen to blur,” explained Nolan. – We get the 3D feeling without eyepieces, we can immerse ourselves in the world of the film without hindrance.”

Oppenheimer tells the story of the scientist called the father of the atomic bomb, but of course it is about much more, depicting the historical era when the first weapon of mass destruction was born. The title role is played by the director’s favorite actor, Cillian Murphy, and Nolan has lined up half of Hollywood: stars such as Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Rami Malek, Florence Pugh, Benny Safdie, Michael Angarano, Josh Hartnett and Kenneth Branagh.
