Amazing Stats: Could He Be The Most Successful Call Of Duty: World At War Player Ever?!

A very dedicated fan of Call of Duty: World at War has been collecting incredible in-game stats while playing regularly for 15 years.

This November will mark 15 years since the release of Call of Duty: World at War. Although not many people play it these days, it seems at least one dedicated player has never stopped. The 65-year-old son of a die-hard fan recently took to Reddit to reveal the incredible in-game stats his father has managed to amass over that time, and they’re pretty impressive.

Call of Duty: World at War is the fifth main series instalment in the Call of Duty franchise, released in 2008. As the name suggests, World at War returns to the series’ original setting, World War II, after the previous game, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, shook things up.

Despite facing a tough challenge as the sequel to one of the franchise’s most beloved instalments, World at War was well received by fans and critics alike, and retained its dedicated player base for years after its release.

In a recent Reddit post, user Jagrbomb on the Gaming subreddit drew attention to the achievement of one of its most dedicated fans. The title of the post reveals that the user’s 65-year-old father has been a regular player of one game, WaW, for the past 15 years. He also published a picture of his in-game stats. This includes some impressive figures. For example, a total murder count of nearly half a million (compared to around 300,000 deaths). Also, a whopping 20,000 headshots.

Such passionate interest in World at War is somewhat rarer than in other Call of Duty games. Other titles in the series, such as Black Ops and the original Modern Warfare, have received much more attention in the years since their release. But WaW’s legacy in maps, game modes and features remains. These have carried over to later games in the series. World at War is the first Call of Duty game to include the iconic Call of Duty Zombies mode.

His enduring love for the game is particularly remarkable. But he is far from the only gamer who remains a fan of the 2008 classic. Many fans would like to see more of these elements, such as the co-op feature of the WaW campaign, included in the modern instalments. All of this suggests that 15 years after its release, fan enthusiasm for the game is still strong.
