PlayStation Plus, including its Premium tier, offers one of the best horror games in recent times.

PlayStation has a new surprise for horror fans who subscribe to PlayStation Plus Premium. Unfortunately, if you’re subscribed to the lower or middle tier of the subscription service – PS Plus Essential or PS Plus Extra – you’re out of luck. Because this surprise is limited to PS Plus Premium.

If you’re subscribed to the most expensive level of PS Plus, you can now play The Callisto Protocol for up to an hour for free! Given that the game is the latest free trial for PS Plus Premium.

An hour with the game is obviously not a very long time. But neither is the game itself. At an optimistic estimate, it’s no more than 10-15 hours. So it’s a decent slice of the game. And if you like what you play, you can continue playing by purchasing the game in full.

Unfortunately, however, The Callisto Protocol is not currently on sale on the PlayStation Store. At the moment, you have to pay the full price of $69.99. However, we might still get a discount while the trial is available. Especially if Sony finds that demand for it has increased. So it’s worth keeping an eye on the PS Store.

If you haven’t heard of the game, it will be released on December 2, 2022, via publisher Krafton and developer Striking Distance Studios, founded by Dead Space creator Glen Schofield. It was the US studio’s first game and received a very positive critical reception.
