MOVIE NEWS – According to legend, Jackie Chan sprained or broke almost everything on the set of his one and a half hundred action films, as he did all the stunts himself. Competing in a similar category, Tom Cruise cannot complain either, thanks to the Mission: Impossible series, he has pushed the stretcher a lot, because every time he stands in front of the camera, everything around him crashes and explodes.
The series of accidents, which can be said to be relatively lucky, began during the filming of Mission: Impossible in 1996, which started the franchise, at the famous aquarium scene. When the huge ornamental fish tank exploded, Tom Cruise, who flew high due to the detonation, suffered serious bruises on his ankle. He then sprained his shoulder while hanging from a cliff at Dead Horse Point, Utah. In the third part, however, two of his ribs were broken, he was hit so hard by the side of a car in the climactic scene when the bridge exploded. He suffered another serious injury in a scene of Mission: Impossible – Aftermath: jumping from one rooftop to another, he landed at the wrong angle and broke his ankle. In comparison, it is a miracle that nothing went wrong during the shooting of the latest opus, Mission: Impossible Showdown Part One, even though the stakes were raised according to the traditions of the series, i.e. even more dangerous stunts were lined up than before.
The production has no shame, grossing $235 million in its first five days and receiving a unanimously positive critical reception.
