Life By You: Early Access Release Date Revealed for the Next-Gen Sims-Like Game! [VIDEO]

Paradox Interactive and Paradox Tectonic have confirmed the early access release date for their open-world life simulation game, Life By You, on PC.

The upcoming life simulation game from Paradox Tectonic, Life By You, is set to be released in early access on March 5, 2024, as additional time is required to work on game developments. The game, directed by Rod Humble, introduces new features such as a seamless open world, customizable dialogues, and the ability to control any character at any time. The studio is implementing several enhancements, including visual improvements, gameplay refinement, an overhauled user interface, additional modding tools, bug fixes, and the addition of two new languages – Italian and Portuguese.

The publisher Paradox Interactive has announced that Life By You will be available in early access from next March. The developer, Paradox Tectonic, initially planned to begin the early access phase of Life By You in September this year but stated that it requires additional time to work on numerous enhancements to the game.

The developer, Paradox Tectonic, revealed its competitor to The Sims, Life By You, last March. The game is directed by Rod Humble, best known for his work on The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, as well as his time as the former CEO of Linden Lab, the company behind Second Life. Life By You will introduce innovations to the well-established Sims formula, including a seamless open world, customizable dialogues, and the ability to control any character at any time.

Paradox Tectonic’s Life By You will commence early access on March 5, 2024, according to a recent video and press release from the developer. As explained in a video posted on the Life By You YouTube channel by director Rod Humble, the studio has carefully considered the feedback from fans and partners in the modding community. Paradox Tectonic is therefore introducing several significant innovations, but to implement these, the early access release of Life By You has had to be delayed to the beginning of 2024.

These enhancements include visual improvements, gameplay refinement, an overhauled user interface, additional modding tools, bug fixes, and the addition of two new languages. The game already supports English, French, Spanish, and German, but Paradox Tectonic plans to augment the early access build with Italian and Portuguese. The visual enhancements of Life By You will include better animations, more detailed character models, improved lighting, and new visual tools.

Humble Games was less specific regarding other topics but stated that the refined gameplay features of Life By You will provide a “more robust experience” and that Paradox Tectonic will unveil the new user interface later this week. Lastly, although bug fixing will be a continuous process during the Early Access period, Paradox Tectonic hopes to offer a “smoother and more polished experience” from the outset. Meanwhile, the updated mod tools of Life By You will aid in improving the modding workflow.

Paradox will automatically refund the purchase to those customers who pre-ordered Life By You through the Epic Games Store, and they will need to pre-order the game again. However, Paradox hopes to compensate them with the announcement of a new pre-order bonus named the “Nightclub Vibe Pack”. The package contains eight exclusive furniture items, which players can use to furnish an in-game nightclub or add some night vibes to their characters’ homes.

Humble Games added that the studio will continue to release weekly development updates and continue to respond to fan queries. On behalf of the team, they expressed their gratitude to the community for their continuous support of Life By You.
