According to Hines, Bethesda Game Studios has always strived to create games that give players maximum freedom. This also means that sometimes situations may arise that produce unexpected results. But according to Hines, this does not spoil the gaming experience, and can even be funny at times.
“Of course there are bugs. But does that spoil your experience? Or do you have a game that keeps your attention, and you’re always trying new things in it?” asked Hines.
Hines’ stance is perhaps not surprising, as Bethesda Game Studios’ games are notorious for being buggy, but still very popular. In the case of Starfield, the bugs are perhaps not so disturbing, since space itself is full of mysteries and surprises. But of course, many players disagree with Hines and expect such a large-scale game to run with as few errors as possible.
