Payday 3 Confirms Two Characters And Four Paid DLC [VIDEO]

After the two characters (Pearl and Joy are their names), Starbreeze plans to add four paid DLCs. Let’s hope they won’t fall flat on their face again after the massive failure of The Walking Dead from Overkill…

Pearl and Joy will join the original gang of clown-masked criminals (Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf, and Chains) for six heisters available when Payday 3 launches. Pearl is an expert con artist and infiltrator who is as comfortable running scams on the street as she is rubbing elbows with the rich and famous. She leaves nothing to chance, and it’s a rare occasion when things don’t go her way. Make no mistake, though, she plans for every contingency, even when she has to pull out her weapons. Joy is a genius hacker and security expert who is now an official part of the crew. As a merciless heister, Joy is a dangerous combination of strength and subterfuge. With no respect for the law and a twisted sense of humor, Joy is a wildcard character who becomes an ace during any heist.

Starbreeze has confirmed that it plans four paid DLCs for Payday 3 in its first year. The names and release dates are subject to change. The first pack is called Syntax Error and is scheduled for release in the winter. The second pack, Boys in Blue, could arrive early next spring. The third DLC, The Land of the Free, will arrive in Payday 3 in the summer, and the fourth content add-on, Fear and Greed, will come next fall. We can expect seasonal events, new playable characters, new enemies, new weapons, Unreal Engine 5 upgrades, cosmetics, quality-of-life improvements, and new features.

Payday 3 will be released on September 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), but will also be available on Xbox Game Pass. On PC, it’s a bit incomprehensible that they must include Denuvo and require a constant internet connection. It is unnecessary.
