The Cyberpunk 2077 Update Fixed Some Stupid Dialogue in the Main Mission Sequence

CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 brings significant improvements to the game, including more believable dialogue in the Delamain questline. The update also fixes technical issues and bugs, making the game look almost brand new. Some players may still experience the old dialogue depending on their story choices, but the new dialogue adds depth to the characters and improves the overall experience. The update also improves graphics and gameplay. A new video shows the changes.

A new fan-made video has compared how CD Projekt Red made some of Cyberpunk 2077’s dialogue more believable. This is just one of the many improvements that CD Projekt Red brought to Cyberpunk 2077 with Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0.

Cyberpunk 2077 is famous for its disastrous release in December 2020. The futuristic first-person shooter was plagued by performance issues, technical issues and bugs that made the game virtually unplayable for PS4 and Xbox One players. Over the years, CD Projekt Red has released patches for the game to improve the gameplay, including the latest update 2.0, which makes the game feel almost brand new. The new update not only fixes many of the game’s technical issues, but also improves some of the dialogue. An example is some of the dialogue in the Delamain mission sequence, which focuses on a character who has a fleet of autonomous taxis.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update removes much talked about detail

Makavelinow, a member of the Cyberpunkgame subreddit, posted a side-by-side comparison of the dialogue between V and Johnny Silverhand between the game’s original release and the latest update. The video first shows a clip of the original dialogue, in which V and Johnny are in a car and a tramp from Delamain drives into the wall. V asks Johnny if he doesn’t think it’s weird that a polite guy like Delamain is doing a letdown. This dialogue is so jarring because at this point in the story the two hate each other and V pretends to be friends. The second half of the video features a clip of the scene’s new dialogue. Both of them get hit by Delamain, but this time they’re bickering with each other, which makes a lot more sense. Warning: Reddit video contains adult language.
There has been some debate in the comments on the post about whether or not Cyberpunk 2077’s new dialogues are actually present in the scene, with some players still experiencing the old lines. Learning new dialogues depends on some decisions the player makes in the story. Players can hear the old text if they meet Takemura in the Diner before playing the scene.
Players may also notice that the posted Reddit video also shows how much Cyberpunk 2077’s graphics have improved with the 2.0 update. Cyberpunk 2077 fans will also find smoother gameplay, improved mechanics and other quality of life improvements with the new update. For players who were disappointed with the game’s original release, now might be the best time to revisit Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
