Is This What Jason Momoa Will Look Like In Aquaman 2?! New Superhero Costume Unveiled!

MOVIE NEWS – A new photo of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman 2 costume from DC’s comic book movie sequel, The Lost Kingdom, has been released on X, giving fans a detailed look at the outfit.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will hit cinemas towards the end of 2023. Fans can’t wait to see what Jason Momoa will look like in the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster. Now, DC has revealed a clear look at Momoa’s new costume for the upcoming sequel while also announcing the trailer for said film.

DC has shared a picture of Momoa wearing his new Aquaman outfit while announcing the prequel comic, which you can read before the upcoming Aquaman sequel for better context.

They also mentioned those who helped create Momoa’s new Aquaman costume for the upcoming film.

DC’s official X account posted a picture of Momoa’s new Aquaman outfit while announcing the news. The suit Momoa’s Aquaman is wearing is much darker than the classic gold and green suit he wore in the comics and previous DCEU movies.

It is possible that this darker dress is camouflage, or in other words, a stealth dress. Aquaman spends most of his time underwater. This dark blue suit would help him to move undetected underwater, which could affect the progression of the film’s plot. Based on the comic book artwork, it seems that Aquaman will be fighting one of the antagonists of the first film, Black Mantra. Alongside his brother and eternal enemy, King Orm, of course.

The only problem, however, is that indications from test screenings of Aquaman 2 have shown that fans are not happy with where the second film is heading.

That’s not good news for the DCEU. They have already had to deal with the fact that The Flash and Shazam 2 didn’t bring in the box office they were hoping for. Aquaman was a big hit when it came out in 2018. But at the time, superhero movies were at the peak of their popularity, which has since fallen off a bit.

Credit to DC for trying to build hype for the upcoming film by making a prequel graphic novel. Give fans more content so they know exactly what is happening. Sadly, however, it may not matter if fan interest has waned to the point where Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be another flop for them. There has already been some controversy around the trailer for Aquaman 2, and I’m not sure they will get over that. But at least they’re trying. They deserve credit for that.
