Konami and Genvid have set a date for the debut of their unique take on Silent Hill.
Silent Hill: Ascension will debut on iOS (Apple App Store), Android (Google Play Store) and in a web browser on the same date, Genvid announced on its website. Here’s the overview: “Silent Hill: Ascension is an exciting new interactive streaming series from Genvid where YOU, along with the rest of the community, will influence the Silent Hill canon.
The series follows multiple main characters from locations around the world who are being tormented by new and terrifying Silent Hill monsters. Lurking in the shadows, these monsters threaten to consume people, their children, and entire towns as they are drawn into the darkness by both recent murders and long-suppressed guilt and fear. Embark on an immersive journey where your choices shape the story and lead to gripping moments of redemption, suffering, or damnation.
Silent Hill: Ascension features daily live storylines where each day is different from the last based on YOUR actions and the choices of the audience. Catch up on demand! This fresh, disturbing series allows an audience of millions to help characters survive or change their fate with high-fidelity streaming visuals right on your mobile phone, immersing you in the horror of Silent Hill”.
Silent Hill: Ascension will debut on iOS, Android and web browsers on October 31, but due to time zone differences, the series will launch in Europe and Asia on November 1, as it will premiere at 6pm on the West Coast and 9pm in the East. Night time fits the franchise better, but waking up at 3am on a regular basis doesn’t make sense, unless you work a night shift all the time. The only question is how long the project will take, as Konami and Genvid haven’t said much about it yet.
