We Won’t Even Recognize Miles Morales In Spider-Man Issue 11?!

Holy water webs, a magically enhanced Venom sword, and a cool cape of his own – Miles Morales gets a nice wardrobe upgrade for a new way to fight the threat.

For Miles Morales, these days, the fight is real. His Spider-sense hasn’t worked since he faced off against Rabble and Carnage. He’s on the run from an anti-vigilante group calling themselves the Caped Criminals. Plus, he’s just met the first vampire of his life. The good news is that some vampire hunters have just turned up to help in the fight.

Spider-Man is no stranger to working with an older mentor character, be it the Avengers or X-Man.

This time, however, he’s being paired with another young hero who is undergoing his own training. Blade’s daughter, Brielle Brooks, aka Bloodline. Sixteen years old, and now that Doctor Strange’s spell to hide her has been lifted, Brielle has more in common with Miles than with her father. But in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #11, penned by Cody Ziglar, Federica Mancin and Bryan Valenzia, they all have to work together…

Miles is shocked to find vampires roaming Brooklyn, though Blade assures him that their rise is recent. Despite all the stress, Spidey still wants to help the vampire-hunting duo. After all, this is his neighbourhood. He’s recently christened his brand new ability, the Venom Sword, and this is the perfect opportunity to use it. Blade welcomes the help but admits Miles needs a little extra gear for this fight.

Miles’s new costume is more than just a cool suit; it has a few extra tricks for vampire hunting. He has a utility belt that looks like a custom Spider-Sai. His web is infused with holy water, a powerful weapon in the fight against vampires. Ancient magic is also part of “that little poison thing you do”, meaning the Venom Strike and Venom-Saber have received major upgrades. The higher neck section also protects Miles from the vampires’ favourite biting spot, giving him some defensive power.

Since Brielle’s jacket has special pockets for stakes, this may be what Miles’ new utility belt has.

However, Miles is currently struggling with his mental health. So, facing a whole new kind of villain might not be the best thing for him. His Spider-sense is on overdrive, and he gets nervous even when there’s no threat nearby. If Blade gives Miles tools that don’t depend on his Spider-Man powers, it might be more beneficial than he himself thinks. The trailer promises that he and Blade will disagree on this fight, but what Miles Morales needs more than anything right now is support.
