Could Scenes Cut From The Game Make It Into The Last Of Us Season 2?!

MOVIE NEWS – Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us series is one of Sony PlayStation’s flagships, which gained new fans after the HBO live-action TV series.

Earlier this month, after months of speculation, Naughty Dog announced The Last of Us Part II Remastered for PlayStation 5. This remaster brings improved 4K visuals at smooth 60fps. As well as improved DualSense controller functions compared to the free next-gen update of the original sequel for PS5.

Additionally, it includes a roguelike mode called “No Return”, cut content from the original sequel called “Lost Levels”, a Guitar Free Play mode, director’s commentary and more.

Plus, if you already own the PS4 version of TLoU Part II, you can upgrade to the remaster for just £10/$10!

As for new modes and cutscenes, there’s what we already know. For example, “No Return” will contain at least 12 tracks. Also, random challenges. In addition, there are several playable characters with unique skill sets. We do not yet know what content “Lost Levels” will have.

One reason for releasing The Last of Us Part II Remastered is believed to be to capitalize on the hype of the upcoming second season of the HBO TV series. Not to mention, it’s the perfect excuse for dedicated fans to play a better version of a game they love.

Naughty Dog head and co-creator of the TLoU video games and HBO series Neil Druckmann recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly. He revealed that some scenes of the second season of the TV series will be adapted from the cut content of The Last of Us Part II.

“As a tease, I will say there is at least one element from a cut level that is planned [for] the show,” said Druckmann. “I say that with the caveat that we haven’t started filming the show yet, and all things are subject to change based on what we ultimately feel will be best for the show.”

We already know that the second season will include moments from the second part of The Last of Us. But it is known that the content can be divided into at least two more seasons of the HBO series. The release date for the second season of the HBO series has not yet been announced. The second season of TLoU is expected to be released in 2025.

As for The Last of Us Part II Remastered, it will be released on January 19, 2024, for PlayStation 5.
