Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has officially received a full trailer featuring the return of the Titans. 2021’s Godzilla vs. As the direct sequel to Kong and the fifth full movie in the Monsterverse, Godzilla and Kong face a new threat lurking deep within the Earth. The film stars Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Kaylee Hottle and Fala Chen.

Warner Bros. Pictures has released a trailer and a new poster for the upcoming Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire.

In the trailer, people wonder what threats might lie underground. Meanwhile, Kong faces a new monster: A miniature Kong. The two Titans are forced to confront the underground enemy while keeping their world safe.

Godzilla x Kong promises to learn more about the backgrounds of various characters in the Monsterverse. As Kong has to deal with discovering a young ape monster, his backstory to Skull Island is likely to be revealed. Godzilla will also get a chance to explore his past, although the trailer focuses more on King Kong than the King of the Monsters.

The trailer also promises a scene where Kong and Godzilla attack an unseen figure together, possibly the older ape, who appears to be a relative of “Baby Kong.”

Both have improvements as well. Kong appears to have gained an armoured mechanical arm. And Godzilla has a red light power that bursts through his spikes before launching another attack. Considering these developments, it looks like the Kongs can count on some extra support to stop this underground menace.

The film takes each character deep into the Earth, where entire empires lie in wait for the invasion. The stakes of the previous movie were also high. But now, the monsters don’t just have to fight themselves. The film will also feature returning cast members, including Dr. Ilene Andrews, Bernie Hayes and Jia. More will likely be revealed as the release date approaches. For now, the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire trailer offers an early look at the world of the Monsterverse.
