[TGA 2023] Warhammer 40K: Space Marine II: The New Release Date [VIDEO]

It wasn’t so long ago that the Saber Interactive game was delayed by Focus Entertainment!

Two weeks ago we covered more Focus Entertainment news in a recap. Warhammer 40000: Space Marine II was one of the “crumbs”. Then the French publisher postponed the third-person shooter to the second half of 2024, adding that the new release date would be announced during The Game Awards. Focus Entertainment kept their word and didn’t even put the release date right at the end of the year, as the second half could have been July or even December!

According to the very short description of the game (really, the length is surprising!): “The galaxy is in danger. Whole worlds are falling. The Empire needs you. Embody the superhuman skill and brutality of a Space Marine, the Emperor’s greatest warrior. Unleash deadly skills and an arsenal of devastating weapons to annihilate the relentless Tyranid hordes. Hold the horrors of the galaxy at bay in epic battles on far-flung planets. Uncover dark secrets and turn back the eternal night to prove your ultimate loyalty to humanity. Heed the call of battle. For there is only war.

Warhammer 40000: Space Marine II received a new video at The Game Awards, so Focus Entertainment didn’t miss a beat and announced a new release date for Warhammer 40K (that’s how they shorten the number). We’ve embedded the video below. The game is only coming to current-gen platforms, so don’t expect a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One port. As always, it’s worth noting that these two consoles have been out for ten years now, so time has really passed them by and there’s no shortage of 2020 consoles.

Let’s not wait any longer and announce the new release date: September 9th for PlayStation 5, Xbox series and PC (Steam).
