[TGA 2023] Visions of Mana: The Long-Awaited New Chapter in the Mana Franchise! [VIDEO]

Square Enix has announced the action RPG Visions of Mana for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), set to launch in 2024. This marks the first mainline installment in the beloved Mana series in over 15 years, returning to its action RPG roots.

Visions of Mana represents a brand-new chapter in the beloved Mana series, combining the franchise’s traditional action RPG elements with a fresh adventure. The game’s protagonist, Val, is a soul guard tasked with protecting his childhood friend, chosen by the Faerie as the Alm of Fire to journey to the Tree of Mana and restore the mana flow.

Square Enix’s newly released trailer provides a glimpse into the newly imagined world of Mana. The trailer showcases action-packed gameplay set in a vibrant world where players will traverse breathtaking environments, battle a variety of enemies and monsters, including the fan-favorite Rabites. The game promises to be an immersive experience where the powers of nature and elemental spirits intertwine.

Since its debut in 1991 as Final Fantasy Adventure, a spin-off of the Final Fantasy series, the Mana games have captivated players with vibrant worlds, stunning environments, heartwarming characters, and high fantasy storylines. Fans can expect new designs of beloved creatures from Mana series Illustrator Airi Yoshioka and a captivating new musical score composed by series veterans Hiroki Kikuta, Tsuyoshi Sekito, and Ryo Yamazaki.

Celebrating the reveal of Visions of Mana, series artist HACCAN created new teaser artwork, giving a glimpse of the iconic Tree of Mana against one of the game’s enchanting vistas and showcasing the heartwarming characters players will encounter.

Mana series producer Masaru Oyamada expressed his delight in finally revealing Visions of Mana, the first mainline installment in over fifteen years. He emphasized the development team’s dedication to staying true to the series while offering a fresh experience with a new story, characters, and gameplay mechanics.
