Epic Games Store’s free “Mystery Game” promotion started on December 13 with Destiny 2: Legacy Collection. All titles were available for an entire week. Now, the sale ends with the last free mystery game. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is also available to claim for one week. The “wrapping paper” fell at 10 a.m. local time. Revealing the free mystery game and also confirming next week’s regular addition, Sail Forth.
As many Epic Games Store users know, the service typically releases a new game every Thursday at 10 a.m. while confirming what will be released the following Thursday.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy tells an original story with the help of the titular team. Players control Star-Lord in an action-adventure game. The gameplay is a bit chaotic as players must make calls as the team leader to coordinate them all. In the process, they make decisions that change the story’s direction. Arguably, it’s one of the best Marvel games in recent years, even if it’s a bit underrated.
