Bandai Namco has officially released the first trailer for the long-awaited Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The expansion will be released on June 21 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The Elden Ring came out in 2022 to rave reviews, and fans have been waiting for new experiences in Lands Between ever since.

Since the game was first released, developer FromSoftware has been releasing updates that have added exciting new content to the game.

Fans waiting for Elden Ring’s first major DLC can mark June 21 on their calendars and take a look at the exciting gameplay trailer.

The DLC reveal trailer pulled the lid on what fans can expect from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion when it launches on June 21. The Elden Ring DLC trailer introduces players to many new enemies in just three minutes. We will have to fight them in many fascinating new locations. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree takes players to the “Land of Shadows”, “a place obscured by the Erdtree” that was “set ablaze by Messmer’s flame.”

That’s presumably where players will encounter Miquella, the entity found in the egg from Mohgwyn’s palace in the base game, but fans will have to play the DLC themselves to find out for sure what’s going on.

In the fast-paced Elden Ring trailer, players explore the Land of Shadows on the back of Torrent, their loyal mount known from the base game. Along the way, they encounter all kinds of monsters. Some of these will probably serve as bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree. The names of these enemies have not yet been revealed. But players will fight a giant creature resembling a bipedal stove. Then, with a long snake-like creature. With a vast lion head enemy and more. More details about these new Elden Ring enemies may be revealed in the months leading up to Shadow of the Erdtree’s June 21st release date.

However, fans may have to wait until they can face the monsters themselves.

Shadow of the Erdtree doesn’t just add new enemies to the game. The Elden Ring’s arsenal of weapons is also expanding. Players will also have unique attacks, armour and more. The DLC is still shrouded in mystery. But for sure, fans of FromSoftware’s open-world epic have a lot to look forward to on June 21.
