MOVIE NEWS – The live-action Bloodborne movie, which has been in the works for quite some time, received a significant update.

 

 

The upcoming live-action Bloodborne movie is reportedly still in early development. However, insiders have shared an important update about the director.

Bloodborne is one of FromSoftware’s best titles to date, and it’s an absolute shame that it’s not available for multiplayer.

Considering it’s one of the most successful PlayStation exclusives, Sony has been surprisingly reticent about bringing it to other platforms or updating it to run better on next-gen consoles.

According to a recent interview with FromSoftware’s Hidetaka Miyazaki, the developer would love to do a remaster or remake of the game. He would also bring it to PC. But unfortunately, nothing can happen without Sony’s approval. It was recently shared that a remaster was in the works at one point. However, they rejected it, which broke all of our hearts.

For now, fans hoping for more Bloodborne content can only be happy with the live-action movie that is said to be in development. Insider DanielRPK initially released news about the film. He has since shared another rumoured update on the project’s progress.

According to new information, the director and cast have not yet been chosen, but Sony has reportedly tapped Adam Wingard to direct the film.

Adam Wingard is credited with such horror films as Blair Witch. Most recently, he produced the monster movie Godzilla Vs Kong and its upcoming sequel, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Sony is also said to want Bill Skarsgard in the lead role. That would be a pretty solid choice, considering he’s been in a lot of horror movies in recent years, and he’s done a great job.

Of course, all this can change. There is still no official confirmation that the film will actually be made.

Regardless, if Sony is serious about making a Bloodborne movie, it would be an excellent opportunity to create hype with a remaster or remake of the game for the PlayStation and PC platforms.
