Mortal Kombat 1: Peacemaker Is Arriving Along With A Huge Patch!

The full list of the latest Mortal Kombat 1 update has been released, highlighting all the new things coming alongside the Peacemaker.

NetherRelam has just published the patch notes for the new Mortal Kombat 1 Peacemaker update, which is now available in early access for those who have purchased the game’s premium edition. Although he was once a relatively unknown DC Comics anti-hero, Peacemaker (real name Christopher Smith) has gained much attention over the past few years. Thanks in no small part to WWE star John Cena’s involvement in DC Extended Universe projects. Like the Suicide Squad and Peacemaker series on Max.

This led to the inclusion of Peacemaker DLC as a guest fighter in Mortal Kombat 1 alongside the previously released Omni-Man and the upcoming Homelander.

Fans finally got their first full taste of how Peacemaker will play in Mortal Kombat 1 earlier this month in a character trailer that highlighted the peace-loving justice-dealer’s moveset, Fatal Blow, and Peacemaker’s MK 1 Fatality, in which he shatters his opponent with a sonic blast from his helmet. And he feeds the leftovers to his beloved pet Eagly. John Cena returns to his role known from the aforementioned DCEU projects, both in voice and image. This gives fans of the Peacemaker’s cinematic and streaming appearances an authentic experience as he taunts his enemies. Gunshots, helmet attacks, and even a Captain America-esque shield is unleashed.

Peacemaker itself isn’t the only new content coming to Mortal Kombat 1. Because NetherRelam recently published the full patch notes detailing all the improvements to the game now that Peacemaker is in Early Access. Steam and the Epic Games Store increase MK1’s PC footprint. This is to accommodate future Kombat Pack content. All systems receive fixes for various bugs. As well as modifications to existing MK 1 playable characters.

Other changes coming with the latest update patch for Mortal Kombat 1 include the ability to link a game profile to a WB Friends manually account, as well as crossplay support and a Social Menu that allows players to add other users to their WB Friend List.

Invasions mode also gets some tweaks. For example, new in-game HUD indicators that show the player’s and opponents’ Invasion character levels and item types during matches. There are also indicators that show active modifiers during a match. Also, Warrior and Kameo XP rewards have increased significantly during Encounters.

Finally, MK1’s practice mode now allows players to set up character-specific mechanics for both playable fighters and Cameos. Support for Janet Cage (a female alternate universe version of Mortal Kombat protagonist Johnny Cage) has also been added to the upcoming Kameo Fighter. (The DLC is expected sometime in March.) As mentioned, anyone who purchased the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition can now join the battle as a Peacemaker. Everyone else will have to wait until March 7th for its full release…
