The open-world action-shooter adventure game Survivors takes us to a hitherto unexplored time period of the Terminator universe…

 

 

During yesterday’s Nacon Connect 2024, the French publisher unveiled a new open-world action-survival game set in the sci-fi Terminator universe. It’s called Terminator: Survivors, and it’s coming to Steam Early Access for PC later this year. Here’s what we already know about the promising adventure.

In more detail, the production developed by Nacon Studio in Milan is defined as an open-world survival experience with base management and action-shooter elements, as well as an independent and original plot, although it is strongly influenced by the first two films of the saga made by James Cameron 40 years ago.

Set a few years after Judgment Day, the Resistance founded by John Connor will play the central role. You start the game as a survivor facing the dangers of a post-apocalyptic world. We must deal with threats from other people, machines and the Terminator. At first we don’t know about the existence of Skynet and Terminator. But we have to figure that out soon. Then, we must team up with other survivors to find out the truth and prepare to fight back…

The game takes place in a previously unexplored timeline of the Terminator universe, with a completely original story. It features both famous and new characters. We will learn more details about the beginnings of the Resistance led by John Connor.

The game challenges us to explore the surrounding terrain in search of materials, information, other survivors and critical resources. In this apocalyptic 2009, we must create a base for a new group of survivors. Fortunately, you don’t have to complete the mission alone. Terminator: Survivors will be released with four-player co-op gameplay.

Along with the news, the developers also published the first trailer for the video game. The game will be released in Early Access on PC via Steam. Later, it will also come to PS5 and Xbox Series.
