PlayStation Plus: These Are The Games We’ll Have To Say Goodbye To In April!

Among others, Soulcalibur VI and Everspace are among the titles disappearing from PlayStation Plus…

Like many video game subscription services, PlayStation Plus gives members access to hundreds of titles on both PS4 and PS4. What’s more, players can already try the 4 March titles of the Essential package and the 13 additional games included in the Extra/Premium service. However, it is important to note that the platform also retires a handful of adventures on a monthly basis, which means the disappearance of 11 games in April.

As it does every month, Sony is once again preparing to remove a handful of Extra and Premium games. Among the fishing games, the quirky comic book golf experience, and another title based on the Ghostbusters saga, Soulcalibur VI is being removed from the Japanese company’s lineup, Chicken Police: Paint it RED! and Everspace too. Below, you can see the games that will no longer be available on the service from April 16.

Games leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in April 2024:

  • Bassmaster Fishing
  • Chicken Police: Paint it RED!
  • Dangerous Golf
  • Everspace
  • Fighting Ex Layer
  • Ghostbusters: The Video Game – Remastered
  • Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX
  • Necromunda: Underhive Wars
  • Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure
  • R-Type Final 2
  • Soulcalibur VI

Based on average player completion time, Rockfish Games’ sci-fi roguelike Everspace is the most content of the recently announced departures. Achievement hunters looking to get the most out of their PS Plus subscription can reportedly manage to complete most of these titles before they leave the service in April. Even if they haven’t started one yet. These 11 games are expected to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium on April 16.

Although Sony typically gives a month’s notice of subscription service cancellations, surprises do happen from time to time.

One such exception occurred just a few days ago, when three more games left the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers than Sony originally announced would be leaving the service in March 2024. Regardless, the 11 games are already close to the upper limit that the platform typically loses in a given month. This makes surprise departures less likely in April.
