MOVIE NEWS – The goal of Joker 2 is to repeat the success of its predecessor at the box office – it will arrive this autumn!

 

 

After watching The Joker in 2019, you might think this movie is nothing more than a stand-alone story. But Warner Bros. had about $1,074 million worth of reason to return to Todd Phillips’ Gotham with a distinct social background. Today, April 10th, we’re starting to get evidence that there might be something more behind the film than a simple desire to line the pockets. The first trailer for Joker 2 has arrived!

As announced a week ago, the film studio today shared the first trailer for Joker 2 – or Joker: Folie à Deux in its official title.

In this, we can take a first look at the film’s main characters. Joaquin Phoenix returns as Arthur Fleck, this time accompanied by the always charismatic Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) from Arkham Asylum.

 

 

 

 

It really looks like the music will be at least as important as the action. Previously, there were already 15 licensed songs in connection with the film, but the trailer also shows that there will be more. In fact, we know from the American MPA that it will be an “adult film”: moments of extreme violence, continuous profanity, some sexuality and brief nudity are expected.

Joker: Folie à Deux will be released on October 4th, five years after the first part. It will be the only Warner Bros. & DC product in theatres this year.
