Donald Trump Has A New Role Model – A Movie Serial Killer?! [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – For some reason, presidential candidate Donald Trump praises one of the biggest villains in film history during his speeches…

The Silence of the Lambs has strangely become an integral part of US presidential candidate Donald Trump’s rallies and speeches. Jonathan Demme’s serial killer thriller starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins might seem like an odd choice to accompany Trump on the campaign trail. But the Republican candidate and former US president has used the film extensively in anti-immigration speeches in recent months.

Hannibal Lecter, the incarcerated cannibal genie of The Silence of the Lambs, is probably a strange mascot for conservative border control policies.

However, Trump has always been a quasi-Hollywood politician, a kind of “postmodern Ronald Reagan”. He’s appeared in movies and TV shows, talked to Howard Stern, tweeted about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and danced with Jeffrey Epstein at clubs for young partisans. At his latest rally, filmed in Wildwood, New Jersey, Trump once again brought in Hannibal Lecter:

“Silence of the Lambs! Has anyone ever seen The Silence of the Lambs? The late, great Hannibal Lecter! He’s a wonderful man. He often would have a friend over for dinner. Remember the last scene? ‘Excuse me, I’m about to have a friend for dinner,’ as this poor doctor walked by. ‘I’m about to have a friend for dinner.’ But Hannibal Lecter. Congratulations, the late, great Hannibal Lecter.”

After a combination of awkward silence and distant giggles, Trump continued. The speech basically dissects anti-immigration themes that have been voiced several times in recent months. The Silence of the Lambs is undoubtedly a timeless film. It’s unclear why Trump refers to Hannibal Lecter as “the late, great one,” given that the character didn’t die in The Silence of the Lambs or any other film.

It’s also unclear what he thinks is “great” about Lecter, although Trump probably uses the language less literally and decisively than most people.

It is currently unclear whether high-IQ cannibals came to the US from Mexico, Nigeria, Guatemala, Kenya, Syria, Lebanon, or elsewhere. Hopefully, the Border Patrol will at least monitor the eating habits of the many people crossing the border legally or illegally. Trump has yet to mention the likely countless asylum seekers who have skinned kidnapped women to dance to Q Lazzarus’ “Goodbye Horses” while wearing their flesh. But the campaign is still long, so it could quickly happen…
