Black Myth: Wukong: Two Minutes from WeGame Tonight [VIDEO]

WeGame Tonight 2024 is an event in China, where it’s a given that Game Science will be present, being a Chinese studio.

Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology. The story is based on Journey to the West, one of the four great classic novels of Chinese literature. As the Destined One, you must embark on a journey of challenges and wonders to uncover the hidden truth behind the veil of a glorious legend from the past in an unseen world where new sights emerge with every step. Enter a fascinating realm filled with the wonders and discoveries of ancient Chinese mythology! As the Destined One, you will journey through breathtaking landscapes in the classic tale of Journey to the West, creating a new epic of uncharted adventure.

One of the highlights of Journey to the West is its diverse cast of enemies, each with unique strengths. As the Destined One, you will encounter powerful enemies and worthy rivals throughout your journey. Fearlessly engage them in epic battles that know no surrender. Spells, transformations, and magical vessels in all their manifestations, both complementary and antagonistic, have long been iconic combat elements in Chinese mythology. As the Destined One, in addition to mastering various staff techniques, you can freely combine different spells, abilities, weapons, and equipment to find the winning formula that best suits your fighting style.

Within every creature lies the story of a life. Beneath the ferocity and cunning of your enemies lies a compelling tapestry of their origins, personalities, and motivations, waiting to be revealed. As the Destined One, you will uncover the stories behind a wide variety of characters, delving beyond your battles with them to taste the love and hate, greed and fury they once had and still carry with them.

The release of Game Science’s game is not far away, although there is still a chance that the Chinese studio could postpone the release, because in three months a lot of things can happen that we can’t even predict. But hopefully that won’t happen, so we just have to be patient, because if we have survived the few years since the announcement, the rest of the time won’t be so difficult.

Black Myth: Wukong will be released on August 20th for PlayStation 5, Xbox consoles and PC (where it will also be available via Steam and the Epic Games Store). It’s rare for a small indie developer to go multiplatform right out of the gate.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
