The Xbox catalogue for the first half of 2024 has reached its peak. Yes, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is finally on the starting line after a long wait! Ninja Theory honoured us with a short but beautiful launch trailer, made to the music of Norwegian singer Aurora Aksnes – stage name AURORA.
“I can remember times when it used to be warmer / Lying inside the body of my mother…“ Even the introduction of the trailer does a lot to establish the atmosphere of the game, to which the singer’s unique, sometimes bizarre lyrics are very suitable. What can definitely be said is that this trailer knows how to immerse us in the unique atmosphere of the Nordic saga. We can make sure that Ninja Theory did not lie to itself. Hellblade 2 will be a real graphical benchmark on our engines. With a wealth of detail and environments rarely seen in recent months.
This is also an opportunity to get used to the cinema aspect ratio with black bars. It’s a minor aesthetic trick that lowers the game’s effective resolution to take the load off the graphics cards. Note that Hellblade 2 will run at 30fps on Xbox Series X/S without performance mode.
